This week we have read the story ‘The Disgusting Sandwich’. The children went out to the forest area to make their sandwiches. The children had lots of fun doing this and as you can see from their faces they really were disgusting! The children were then able to write some instructions of ‘how to make a disgusting sandwich’.
The children have been busy designing and making their own space buggies in DT this half term. The children looked at the space buggies that have been on the moon and had to research what they were and what they can do. After finding out lots of information about space buggies the children were able to design their own- adding their own ideas and improvements! The children had to think carefully about what they would need to make a space buggy and how they would put it together. The children really enjoyed this part of our space topic and produced some fantastic models!
We have been looking at 3D shapes and we found different ways to make our own 3D shape models!
Year 1 Go Space Hunting
Here are photos from our space hunt. We received a letter asking us to follow the symbols and clues. We found clues around the playground and it led us to an astronaut costume and a letter to say we had completed our mission!
