“Hey Ewe!” – The Year Two Christmas Production.
Well done to all of the children who worked so hard to make our Christmas production a huge success this year. The snow did not stop us……eventually performing our show and both performances were brilliant.
All of the children were in fine voice for our performances, remembered all of their lines and looked fabulous. We even made it into The Herald.
Here are some photos from our show.
THE GREAT FIRE OF LONDON
These are a selection of wonderful photos from our Great Fire of London topic showing our ‘family groups’. The children were put into family groups as different groups of people working in London in 1666.
Some children were black smiths and others green grocers but they really enjoyed dressing up and experiencing life in London in the 17th Century. The children produced things as part of their family trade to understand some of the things available to people living in this time period.
REMEMBRANCE DAY ART WORK
Here are some pictures of our very special visitor Mr Race painting some poppies as part of our Year 2 Remembrance art work.
The children gained so much from seeing an artist teach different techniques and styles first hand.
It was also a fantastic way to discuss and remember those who bravely gave their lives. The children enjoyed learning about why the symbol for remembrance is a poppy, because of them growing in the battle fields of Europe.
TRIP TO RAF COSFORD
Here are some photos of our fantastic trip to RAF Cosford as part of our Up, Up and Away topic.
The children really enjoyed the visit and took a lot from seeing the planes and helicopters first hand!
We had a brilliant day comparing and identifying different planes and features of things that fly.
